@@gavthane I have seen hundreds of performances some terrible, sum 41 in 2011 comes to mind... They needed a backing track 🤣 Marilyn manson at download when he forgot the words to sweet dreams because he was so fucked and nothing played over the top yeah... No playback then. Corey Taylor even a few weeks back at the apollo when doing acoustic sets no playback... I've been going to gigs longer than you have 'worked in the industry' out of the 100s of performances I've seen there's probably only a couple I can think of that used blatinetly obvious auto tune or playback

@@zephaniah666 ok so you’ve named 3 artists who you assume don’t use backing track just because you couldn’t hear it at a certain time. 2 of those artists I know for a fact do use backing tracks for certain vocal parts of certain songs. Also from both working in the industry and also being a former touring musician, I have been to literally 1000’s of shows, the majority of which are from a “behind the scenes” perspective, and have been involved with the production rigs of artists form small club shows, to festival and arena headliners. The fact is, the majority of big artists will use backing tracks at add to the production and overall performance… that’s just how it is these days, and there’s nothing wrong with it IMO, as long as it’s not like an entire guitar part being played on backing for example.

@@zephaniah666 Oli uses a lot of backing stuff/auto tune these days in this era of bmth but that wasn't always the case, I saw them when all you got was raw scratchy Sheffieldy Oli voice and those shows were still awesome because of his charisma and the sheer commitment he puts in regardless of vocal ability. Personally I don't think I begrudge him using auto tune now to put on a great show after he spent years building a loyal following with his natural untrained voice.

I saw you the first time when I was 10 years old. Now on this day I’m 16 and it’s only thanks to you I’m still standing. Me and my family never have money to support you or by from you. Today is my 37th birthday and I want to say thank you Oli and Dom for creating the perfect songs that have helped me stay grounded and sober when my older brother died because of heart surgery complications and then the utterly tragic and sudden death of my younger brother at the beginning of the year. My younger brother and I were birthday buddies and it just doesn't feel right to be planning his memorial. This song has been playing multiple times every day along with other songs. I have been dying to see you both live, I'm crossing my fingers for the day Bring me the Horizon comes to Seattle and last time yungblud came to Seattle the tickets sold out super fast. Next time you come to the PNW make sure you save me a ticket because you music has absolutely kept me alive.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO 😍 So nostalgic from my time in Japan. 2 of the best performers together, I saw you in Melbourne last year it was so moving to see care about your fans Dom, your words meant a lot.
