For someone who grew up with parents who LOVED music, I have heard so many different styles of music and this album has been incredible. With all the war and division and uneasiness in the world, it’s nice to pop in your headphones, close your eyes, and step into the past just for a moment and feel peace. Thank you Dom for an incredible masterpiece ❤️

I’m 40 and his music does something to me every time I listen to it… I’m either energized, going through therapy with a song or just simply immersed into his world. I got my signed copy in the mail and the nostalgia of opening it and reading the lyrics booklet it comes with had my inner 14yr old smiling.. I may be 40 but I don’t think my brain progressed past the age of 14.

'War', one of the most intense and symbolic tracks on Yungblud's new album, “Idols”, reveals itself from the first notes as an explosion of energy and a battle cry against adversity. The lyrics of “War” are a vibrant narrative of the challenges and conflicts one encounters along the path of life. Yungblud, uses the metaphor of “war” not in the traditional war sense, but to represent inner battles against anxiety, depression, oppressive social expectations or injustice. The song explores the desire to fight for one's freedom, one's truth and the right to be authentic in a world that often seems to want to stifle individuality. It is a personal war, but at the same time a universal call not to give up, to keep fighting for what you believe in, even when hope seems to waver. The text is an encouragement to find the strength within oneself and to turn pain into determination.

The Idols influence on this song is *Adam Lambert - What do you want from me* ~ Each song you hear is a different Band for the influence of the songs. This must be the point of Idols? He’s playing homage to his ‘Idols’ cause it’s not subtle, it’s very clear yet it’s a Hybrid of Yungbluds own sound. That’s actually a cool concept, now I get the vision. People that know Alternative music will pick that up right away ~

@@timespacetraveler I haven’t listened to that interview. That’s interesting cause I heard him say something like, the idols personally, like for his fans? Not to idolise him, that they can save their own life. Cause this music on his songs have so much influence it literally sounds like the obvious band, I assumed this must be what he is doing. But of course he has his own twist, sound, voice to it.
