Honestly, this is the best song I’ve heard in awhile. It’s a mix of 90’s grunge and something else. The vibes, the aesthetic, the melody. I can’t place it. Which makes it that much better. I’m in love with this song.

And it made u cry, right? It happens to me everytime that I listen to it. It's a work of ART. Yungblud should make an entire album of this genre. It would be a milestone and would win more than one GRAMMY. Like it happened with Madonna's 'Ray of Light'. I hope it comes the time for an eclectic album full of tunes like this one. Electro-Alt Rock-Ambient-New Wave...I also dream of the day when he makes a cover of some Garbage' stuff.

The producer of this track, Paul Meany is the vocalist/musician from one of the most underrated alternative/experimental rock band called 'Mutemath' their discography is worth checking out. He's an expert in this kind of trippy, euphoric soundscapes production. He also produced albums for Twenty One Pilots. He deserved the spotlight.

I just noticed a nice Beatles connection. At 02:49 it's the same harmonies in the background (Ah-ah-ah...) than "A Day In The Life" from them. Those harmonies start also at exactly 02:49 minutes in the Beatles song, incredible!

This part gives me Linkin Park vibes (I'm sure they used this harmony/melody at least in two songs as well). Amazing how these artists keep rock alive. For metal it's the same with Bones and Night Lovell and for punk I consider Suicide Boys and City Morgue as pioneers in Hiphop. Musically we are living in a great time for Hiphop!

for once i’m going to be the one who shares a story… i have a friend, and both of us really enjoyed yungblud’s music for more than 4 years now and almost every time a new song dropped, i would go and tell her about it… sadly she passed away a month ago and i just feel like the first verse is her point of view and the second is mine and it’s just so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time… i hope she can hear this wherever she is 💜

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I hear you, I see & hear you. I lost my son last year & will not drag you into my hell by going into the details but will say that I felt him in this song. Full body chills, then wrapped in warmth & could smell him.... Music was our language & I feel this song in my soul. So many people I've read comments from are bitching that he's singing about drugs, but if they could only read/listen between the lines they would understand that he's singing of so much more. Bless you. Hold the memories of your dear friend close. That's how we keep them alive. 🧡
